Weekend Cook - Sacred Heart College Kitchen

Position: Weekend Cook
Hours: Saturday 6.30am to 2.00pm (split shift), Saturday 2.30pm to 7pm
(10.5 hours per week)

Cater Plus is the proud service provider at Sacred Heart College, Glendowie, Auckland and a vacancy has arisen for a Cook, to join Cater Plus and the family at Sacred Heart College.

This position is working on Saturday as the Cook and is educational, meaning work hours may reduce during the tertiary term breaks and summer vacation – giving you more time to spend with family and enjoy the sun. Additional hours may be available by mutual agreement to cover gaps in the roster and provide support for functions.

This position would suit someone with knowledge and experience in preparing, cooking, and plating wholesome food in a school or community setting. Recipes are provided and training will be given.

To be successful you will need to:
- Have an understanding of dietary requirements, allergies, and food control regulations.
- Be an exceptional team player with a flexible and committed attitude.
- Have good time management skills.
- Be able to work safely in a commercial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
- Be comfortable taking responsibility and able to work sole charge when necessary.
