Night Chef / Café Allrounder, Fonterra Canpac - Hamilton

Monday to Friday (4pm – 9.30pm)

Cater Plus is proud to be the service provider for the on-site cafeteria based at Fonterra Canpac in Foreman Road, Hamilton. Join our team, a locally owned industry leader with three passions – food, exceptional service, and our people.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable chef, or café allrounder to work sole charge on the evening shift carrying out food preparation, cooking, serving customers, keeping the café clean, and closing up at the end of the shift. Think tasty wholesome meals that our customers can order and eat in a short time frame before their next shift starts. This is an opportunity to really get to know your customers and keep them coming back for more.

To be successful you will have experience in a similar café environment creating and serving tasty and tempting hot meals and cold cabinet options. You must be able to:
• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of cuisine
• Monitor quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Cater for a varied clientele and dietary requirements
• Manage food and labour costs within budget
• Implement New Zealand Food Control and Safety regulations
• Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment
• Show a flexible, can-do, committed attitude.
• Operate Eftpos and POS machine with a smile, and cash-up at end of shift
• Work unsupervised and resolve any problems that arise
• Utilize great communication skills and a can-do attitude.
