Kitchen Assistant – Aged Care, Putaruru

This is a casual role to work as and when required, providing cover and support for a variety of shifts over 7 days per week. Perfect for those looking for flexibility to work around life’s other commitments.

We are looking for a reliable and energetic individual with a friendly can-do attitude to join our kitchen team based at Rangiura Resthome in Putaruru where we cater for around 70 residents daily. Come and help us deliver the best food service in the industry!

The ideal candidates will:
- support our talented chefs with food preparation and baking.
- set up for the evening meal, make sandwiches, set tables.
- assist with service, keep the kitchen clean, and do dishes.
- be able to work safely in an industrial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
- be comfortable entering residents’ rooms when required to provide service.
- be an exceptional team player with a flexible, committed, can-do attitude.
- be resilient and able to work under pressure in a busy and dynamic environment.
- be confident to work unsupervised as the last part of the shift is cleaning up and closing the kitchen after the chef has left for the day.

Previous kitchen experience is not required as training will be provided to someone who possesses the right attitude and motivation.
