We need you to help us deliver the best food service experience in the industry! This is a varied position, working as part of a vibrant team to prepare and serve beautifully crafted café style food, wholesome meals for students who live in the onsite accommodation, and cater for functions.

There is never a dull moment as the cafe is located in the middle of the action … you are part of the culture, music and diversity without being a student!

The ideal candidate will:
• Have bulk cooking experience, either within a commercial kitchen, or as an accomplished home cook.
• Demonstrate creativity in their food offerings and presentation.
• Be passionate about good food and outstanding customer service.
• Have a flexible, committed attitude and the ability to stay cool under pressure.
• Have good time management skills and a desire to be a productive and positive member of the team.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment.
• Be confident to work unsupervised when required.

This position is educational meaning there is no guarantee of work during mid-term and summer breaks – giving you more time to spend with family and enjoy the sun. There may be the possibility of work at other sites during this time if desired. The normal hours of work are:

• Saturday/Sunday (split shift): 8.30am – 12noon and then 3pm – 7.30pm
• Monday to Friday: Shift can vary from 6.30am – 2pm and 10am – 6.30pm
