Catering Assistant, Aroha Care Centre - Lower Hutt

Split Shift: 8am – 1pm, then 4pm-7pm (40hrs)
Monday to Friday

We need you to help us deliver the best food service experience in the industry! Aroha Care Centre, located in Lower Hutt has been providing services to older people since the 1970s and has maintained a reputation for its unique quality and high standard of service which has been built on the solid foundations of caring, giving and sharing.

What you’ll do:
• ensure the kitchen is safe and hazard free by doing dishes, removing rubbish, and cleaning.
• assist with service and clearing away afterwards.
• support the chef with some basic food preparation.
• top up supplies, help to keep the kitchen running smoothly, and left clean and tidy at the end of shift.

Who You Are:
• show attention to detail, and good time management skills.
• able to work safely in an industrial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
• maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment.
• be an exceptional team player with a flexible, committed, can-do attitude.
• friendly and engaging and know what it means to deliver outstanding customer service.
