Casual Catering Assistant - Birthcare, Auckland

Casual – Shifts over Monday to Sunday 6:30am – 8:00pm

This position is based on an as and when required basis at Birthcare, Auckland where we are committed to providing restaurant quality meals and catering for special dietary requirements on request. Birthcare Auckland is part of the Evolution Health Group and is a primary maternity hospital for birthing and postnatal care, providing 22 inpatient beds with ensuite facilities.

What you’ll do:
• ensure the kitchen is safe and hazard free by doing dishes, removing rubbish, and cleaning.
• compile meal trays, deliver to patient rooms, and clear at end of service.
• assist with basic food preparation.
• top up supplies and generally help to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Who You Are:
• show attention to detail.
• have good time management skills and the ability to take initiative.
• be able to work safely in an industrial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
• maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment.
• be an exceptional team player with a flexible, committed, can-do attitude.
• excellent communications skills as patient interaction is necessary in this role.
• friendly and engaging and know what it means to deliver outstanding customer service.
