Café/Catering Superstar - Mt Maunganui

Wednesday - Friday (8am – 2pm)

We have a great opportunity for passionate, adaptable, and flexible catering superstar to join our team based at Ballance Agri-Nutrients in Mt Maunganui, where we operate the cafeteria for staff working on site.

This position is for three days per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), however additional hours may be available when needed to cover leave or busy periods.

We are looking for a café all-rounder who understands people and knows what outstanding service looks like. Working alongside the Chef Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of the café and food service, and so previous customer service and cooking experience is required. Barista experience would be an advantage. If you can think on your feet, show great teamwork, and a flexible can-do attitude, then this opportunity could be for you.

In this position you will:
- carry out food preparation, basic cooking, baking, and reheating
- serve beautifully crafted café style food and coffee to customers
- operate EFTPOS and POS machines with a smile
- move and manage stock
- keep the kitchen clean, and do dishes

Who you are:
- self-motivated with a strong customer focus and a passion for food
- friendly and engaging, hard-working and flexible
- have experience in food preparation, and knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- have experience in cafe and cafeteria style food service
- have cooking experience
